MEETING ON THE PROPER USE OF IN2CARE

The objective of the meeting was to debate usage and monitoring of the effectiveness of the In2care trap selected for vector control for the entomological components of ECOMORE project to be implemented in Cambodia, in Lao PDR and in the Philippines.
All participants were entomologists and ECOMORE teams have presented the methodology of their field study:

• Sébastien Boyer and Mrs. Sony Yean for the Cambodian component (IPC)
• Sébastien Marcombe and Mrs. Phoutmany Thammavong for the Lao component (IPL)
• Richard Paul and Dr Ferdinand Salazar for the Philippines component (IP and RITM)

Dr Saw Mitchell entomologist at NHL-Yangon and Mrs. Dora Rajonhson from Madagascar, PhD student at Mahidol University participated in the meeting.
The group has been honored to welcome Mr. T. Chareonviriyaphap Professor at the Department of Entomology at Kasetsart University and his PhD student, Mr. Jirod Nararak.
The presence of Mrs. Harmke Klunder and of Mr. Marius Waard from In2Care company showed the importance of these studies for the development of this innovative auto-dissemination technique.
